What vehicle do I need to tow the trailer?

It depends

We always recommend using a vehicle with a tow rating that is equal to or above the total weight rating (GVWR) of the trailer. For example, a food trailer that is 8.5×20 with kitchen equipment in it might weigh 7,000lbs, but has a GVWR of 10,000lbs. We recommend using a vehicle with at least 10,000lbs tow capacity. This way you know it can handle the weight and have plenty of extra power when needed. If you are constantly towing a trailer that is right at the maximum towable weight, it will most likely cause issues with the tow vehicle.
